Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Police stated they were alerted by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Approximately fifty cars have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Cars, building surfaces and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they reported in a statement.

Police state they were notified late on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.

The substance had been placed in the form of a swastika, they reported.

Police then discovered many other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police report early analysis indicate the fluid was probably blood from a person.

"There is still no lead as to its origin; investigators are presently not informed of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they stated.

Municipal representatives said they were attempting "to solve the incident" and have appealed to the public for tips.

An important official commented the incident rendered him stunned and required to be addressed quickly.

"This incident strikes at the core of Hanau and revives the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he posted on a platform, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a gunman targeting people of immigrant origin in five years prior.
